Jenny got her groove back..

After a few months of inspiration-drought I, Jenny has finally picked up the paintbrush again.
This time I am painting a portrait of Mos Def that I am hoping to sell (although I never seem to sell any of my pictures due to emotional attachement..).

The painting is still just a rough scetch, but I´ll keep you posted on the progress.

Tuddelu and Merry Christmas!

I siget!

Painting with Jenny Friday night

After a long and dark winter and a spring occupied with schoolwork, the creativity is once again flowing and we are finally painting:)

Two weeks ago I painted a wonderful painting together with a friend. The process challenged my need of being in control, but it forced me to follow the development of the painting without trying to control it. It turned out wonderful! And it opened the gates...

Tonight Jenny came over and we painted together for the first time in 2011. We laughed so hard I had difficulties breathing. We commented on each other's painting, and we supported each other when we felt like the hole painting was destroyed.

Jenny started to paint Kanye West. She has an amazing ability to paint portraits, and in the beginning she was really on to something great.

Unfortunately the frustration took over and she ended up painting over the guy after shouting at him for half an hour. I understand her frustration completely, but I must admit - it had a high value of entertainment to me:)

Well, she started over and I know it is going to be great. Don't worry Jenny - you did the same whiles working on Jigga - it's all part of the prosess;)

All of the frustration and all of the laughter - this was a good night.

I am happy with the result:

Alle the best - Nina

My blues brother

Blues brother
70x50
